If you are in Knoydart tonight go and see these amazing musicians - you will not be disappointed. Join us on Wednesday for a delicious Community Meal followed by a concert from the brilliant Naad-hara. Supported by Chamber Music Scotland, Naad-hara draws on influences including Thumri, Tappa, Sufi music, and Gaelic song, the ensemble creates a rich and engaging musical dialogue rooted in shared expression, creativity, and collaboration. Naad-hara is: Ankna Arockiam (vocals), Mischa Macpherson (vocals) Charlie Stewart (fiddle and bass), Alistair Iain Paterson (piano) and Hardeep Deerhe (Sodhi) (tabla) - They warmly invite local musicians to bring their instruments and join them after the performance for a relaxed jam/improv session. Pop in and see some brilliant local art before it wraps up! A busy month ahead at the hall! Alongside our regulars – Yoga with Lisa, Stretch and Tone and Strong and Steady with Bridget, Gaelic Lessons, and Craignish Church services – we've got a new Half and Half: Body Conditioning and Yoga class running through the month, plus a Sound Bath, Naad-hara (performance and community meal), and our usual committee meetings. A huge thank you to everyone who came along on Sunday to help clear round the back of the hall! Jenny, Iain, Becci, Scott, Carol, Tony, Laura, Gordon, Gabby and Jo all pitched in to clear brash, weeds, wild shrubs and overgrowth, and the hall grounds are looking great again as a result. Whether you gave an hour or the whole afternoon, it made a real difference. Thank you! And a thank you too Janine for the cake! We also want to take this moment to say a special thank you to Gordon, who has looked after and nurtured our garden for a long time and is now stepping back from that role. Gordon, we're so grateful for everything you've put into keeping our garden wonderful. With Gordon stepping back, we're looking for local volunteers to help take over caring for the garden going forward. If you'd be interested in getting involved, even just occasionally, please get in touch or drop a comment below. No experience needed, just enthusiasm!
Come on down to Craignish Village Hall to see the work of artists from Youth Arts Argyll in Hall 2, and local artist's collective, 'Babes of The Bog', downstairs in Hall 3. A very warm welcome awaits you in both exhibition spaces. Babes of The Bog are opening this Wednesday evening 8-10pm as well as all this weekend.
