Clothes Repair/Repurpose Workshop and Clothes Swap
Event Details
Two events in one! A clothes repair/repurpose workshop PLUS a clothes swap. Bring your unwanted clothes and accessories and trade them in for something else. If you see something you like and it doesn’t fit we’ll have Anna, Jeannie and Sarah on hand to help! For the workshop, bring along any item of clothing that’s in need of repair and they will show you the basics of mending. Things they can help with include:
learning how to use a sewing machine or bring your sewing machine and learn how to use it general clothing repairs fitting: tailoring clothes to fit, alterations slipper repairs leather items that need sewing turning adult clothes into children’s clothes mending worn collars repurposing old shirts turning trousers into skirts patching embellishing clothes/decorating with appliquésWe’ll have some resources on the day (zips, thread, fabrics, etc), but it would be helpful if people could bring along anything they have spare that their own repair could benefit from. Please remember to wear masks.
