Craignish Village Hall Committee, and those charged with organising the hall’s activities on our behalf (the Hall manager and Arts Programme manager), take your privacy seriously. We are committed to holding your personal information in the safest regard. SCOPE OF PRIVACY POLICY
This Privacy Policy covers our treatment of information that we gather when you are accessing or using our websites or services or when you contact us in any manner. We gather various types of information, including information that identifies you as an individual (“Personal Information”) as explained in more detail below.
INFORMATION COLLECTION AND USE
Google Analytics
When you use the Craignish Village Hall website, a third-party application called Google Analytics is used to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We use Google Analytics to find out things such as the number of visitors to various pages on the site. This information is only processed in a way that does not identify any individual person. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of the people visiting this website.
Mailing Lists
As part of the registration process for our electronic newsletters, we collect basic personal information that you provide to us, namely Your Name and Your Email Address.
We collect this information in order to:
- Tell you about our news and activities that you want to hear about
- Contact you if we need to obtain or provide you with additional information
- Check our records are correct
We do not rent or trade your name or email address with other organisations and businesses.
We use a third-party provider, MailChimp, to deliver our electronic newsletter and to store your details. We gather statistics of email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our communications. You can unsubscribe to our electronic newsletter at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of our mailings.
Ticketing Data
When you use the online facility to purchase a ticket to an event organised by the hall, we collect personal information that you provide us with via our third-party Box Office systems TicketSource, namely; Your Full Name, Address and Postcode, Email Address and Contact Telephone Number.
We do not collect debit/credit card details, PayPal information or any other financial details used to purchase tickets or book onto a workshop.
We do not rent or trade your personal information with other organisations and businesses.

ANONYMISED DATA SHARING
Without identifying individuals, we share data statistics with other organisations for purposes of reporting to funders (e.g. Creative Scotland), working in partnership with other organisations (e.g. The Touring Network) and for our own evaluation reports. This data is used to analyse our audience development programmes, ticket sales and self-generated funding.
ACCESS TO YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
You are entitled to contact Craignish Village Hall to request:
- A copy of your personal information
- Amendments to be made to your personal information
- For your personal information to be deleted from our systems
